Our Story
Jamuna Paper Mills Ltd. is a strategic business unit of Jamuna Group — one of Bangladesh’s largest and most diversified business conglomerates. Established in 2021, the company was inspired by the founder’s enduring vision of building Bangladesh as a happy and prosperous nation.
Located at the heart of Jamuna Industrial Park in Habiganj, Sylhet — right along the Dhaka–Sylhet highway — our cutting-edge facility boasts a groundbreaking production capacity of 820 tons of board paper per day, making it one of the largest and most advanced paper mills in South Asia.
We are the first company in Bangladesh to introduce this level of technological advancement in board paper production, combining precision with European machinery and modern Chinese innovations. This breakthrough strengthens the nation’s industrial capability and reduces dependence on foreign products.

About Nurul Islam Babul
Mr. Md. Nurul Islam. The name, Jamuna group is inseparably associated with the name of Mr. Md. Nurul Islam, an architect a pioneer ultimately an Industrial leader in the private sector. He heralded the Jamunas appearance in the arena of private industrial sector in 1974 with the mission and vision of building newly independent Bangladesh as a happy and prosperous country.
